AMBALA (HARYANA): Once known for its achievements, especially for wi-fi-enabled web services and other facilities, the Govt College here has logged off the internet, courtesy an inflated bill of Rs 30,000 slapped on it by
BSNL.
Suspecting misuse after hacking of passwords as one of the reason, authorities chose to ask BSNL to snap the facility to avoid further metering.Around 2,000 students and teaching and non-teaching staff are at the receiving end.
"I am not in a position to comment. We are looking into the matter and an appropriate action shall follow," college principal Gurdev Singh said.
He also expressed inability to comment on what stopped him from ordering registration of a case.
